Job Summary:
The CMMS Specialist is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Preventative Maintenance program and CMMS related duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates with Maintenance Manager daily to discuss goals and objectives.
Process work order requests for all corrective maintenance and generate work orders within
CMMS.
Prints, organizes, and prioritizes Maintenance related work orders.
Closes out and records Corrective and Preventive Maintenance work orders in the CMMS system.
Drives continuous improvement within the CMMS system.
Maintains and prioritizes Preventative Maintenance schedule for equipment.
Maintains work order and log book documentation.
Supports implementation of new processes and related equipment within the CMMS.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
Archives closed records in appropriate locations.
Supports compliance requests including internal and external audits.
Coordinates QA corrections on work orders with personnel performing work.
Supports Change Controls, Discrepancies, Investigations, and CAPA's.
Supports the installation of new assets and modification or retirement of existing.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Performs work orders as needed.
Complies with OSHA safety and health rules.
Maintains good housekeeping practices.
Documents all related maintenance in applicable logs.
Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management.
Qualifications:
Three years of related mechanical or building maintenance experience.
Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.
Displays proficient technical ability with CMMS systems.
Skilled in various Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and ability.
Demonstrates mechanical dexterity to work with various tools and machines.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply operation manuals, prints, schematics, and other technical documents.
Good mathematical skills for measuring, cutting, and defining equipment.
Detail oriented with good housekeeping skills.
Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs.
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 55 lbs.
Climb ladders and/or stairs
Crawl, bend, twist, carry, reach, and kneel through- out shift
Push and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
Stand and/or walk for extended periods
Work with and/or around chemicals and/or hazardous materials
Repeating motion that may include arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
Ability to see and distinguish color
Work in seasonal conditions that may include extreme hot, cold, wind, and precipitation
Work Hours:
Non-Exempt Position; Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm; Occasional off-shift work
Minimum of 40-45 Hours per Week, or other agreed-upon documented schedule
This position requires occasional travel to and working from other BioSpectra facilities, as well as occasional off-shift work
