Set Up Mechanic

Overview: NOW HIRING Set-up Technicians at our Hazleton, PA location! Role: The primary function is to properly prepare, maintain, modify, setup and “process in” production lines and associated packaging equipment to produce quality thermoformed products.
The Set-Up technician must be able to participate as a team member or operate independently depending on department needs.
Shift/Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:30AM to 4:30PM Starting Pay: $28.

Responsibilities: Key Job Requirements: Assemble, install, and align of tooling into equipment as needed Use precision type instruments, such as micrometers and calipers Completing required documentation to help identify equipment deficiencies and to ensure the proper supply of parts/supplies Maintain a clean, safe working environment Must be self-starting, disciplined, team-orientated with capabilities of working with others in assigned tasks and meeting deadline install Must be capable of safely operating a lift truck Other duties as necessary Technical Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional team Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure Safety: Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Operate Equipment: Demonstrates ability to utilize standard hand tools.
Maintain Records: Ability to accurately record and maintain information as required.
Qualifications: Education & Experience: Capable of working with minimum supervision and maintain high degree of technical proficiency Maintenance or mechanical background Setup and tooling experience desired but not required ADA – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to: Work a 10-12 hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods Climb Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
