We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety/Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our commitment to product quality and workplace safety.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing Sutherland Packaging’s products and processes to ensure they meet consistent standards safely and reliably.
This includes developing and implementing QA processes which address and resolve non-compliance.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* 1.
Quality Assurance * Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Collaborate with Production to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Safety Management * Oversee and enforce safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees.
* Organize regular safety training sessions for employees and maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
* Investigate and analyze accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
3.
Documentation and Reporting * Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control and safety activities.
* Generate regular reports on quality and safety performance for management review.
* Communicate key quality and safety metrics to relevant stakeholders.
4.
Continuous Improvement * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality and safety processes.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.
* Stay informed of industry best practices and incorporate them into the organization.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) * Proven experience in quality assurance and/or safety management in a manufacturing environment * In-depth knowledge of quality controls and safety standards and regulations * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and customer focus * Certification in Quality Management (e.
g.
, ASQ) and Safety (e.
g.
, OSHA) is a plus.
