Director of Manufacturing

Description: The Director of Manufacturing will direct, coordinate, and optimize all Batching and Finished Goods Production related activities in a fast-paced Personal Care Products manufacturing environment.
The position is responsible for the management and oversight of 2 departments across multiple shifts, including several Managers and 120+ manufacturing employees.
The role is highly focused on schedule attainment, staff performance, Batching and Production metrics, product quality, and safety in a GMP environment.
The position is expected to provide leadership, oversight, and forward thinking to support company goals and growth.
Essential Job Functions: • The director of manufacturing will oversee all aspects of both the Batching and Production Departments.
• They routinely analyze production budgets and make changes as necessary.
Throughout the production process, the director oversees the workers and the process to ensure safety procedures are followed and performance goals are met.
• A director of manufacturing also creates production reports for review by top executives.
• They evaluate employees routinely and ensure standards of performance are met within the manufacturing group.
• They assign responsibilities to supervisors and employees on the production line for each manufacturing project.
• A director of manufacturing implements quality-control programs and policies • The Director will oversee Capacity Management and/or Maintenance, will evaluate and /or recommend product packaging, and evaluate and/or recommend production and batching equipment.
• Will be responsible for the Standard Operating Procedures for Production and Batching areas.
• The employee must have the ability to comprehend and carry out reasonable instructions from the Vice President.
• They will follow all safety and GMP requirements of the facility and insure all Personal Protection Equipment is used dependent on the job at all times.

S.
in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of relative combined experience in the areas of Batching/Compounding, Production (filling and assembly), and Management.
Minimum of 5 years in a management or leadership role in a personal care or related industry.
Production Management experience in consumer products ( Personal Care, Health and Beauty Aids, Food, Beverage) is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of GMP and OSHA regulations and requirements preferred.
Strong communication and team building skills.
Promote high standards through hands on leadership and a sense of urgency.
