Responsibilities:
- 1.
Develops and leads activities to raise funds and solicit monetary donations or other gifts for Family Promise.
(70% of time)
a) Develops and implements tactics to identify and cultivate potential donors.
b) Grows corporate giving and sponsorships.
c) Organizes events to identify and cultivate potential donors.
Receives Executive Director and Board approval for fundraising events.
d) Manages a portfolio of donors to maximize fundraising revenue.
e) Tracks and reports fundraising results.
2.
Creates and manages fundraising communications.
(15% of time)
a) Leads the creation and/or oversight of various communication vehicles to raise awareness of the organization’s work and financial needs – cases for support, collateral, brochures, power point presentations, newsletters, stewardship reports, and other communications.
b) Builds a strong digital presence for Family Promise, including online giving, donor engagement, social media, and fundraising platforms.
3.
Manages volunteers focused on fundraising and operational activities.
(15% of time)
a) Recruits and interviews prospective volunteers and determines they meet basic requirements of the position.
b) Trains and schedules Family Promise volunteers.
c) Manages volunteer daily operations and coordinates events in which volunteers participate.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.
g.
, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business) is preferred.
Minimum of two years demonstrated experience in the field of nonprofit fundraising, sales, communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with donors, external organizations, and the media.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Ability to proactively position Family Promise through an understanding and passion for the mission.
Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office applications
