Antique Carved Wood Single Bed - $00 (Stroudsburg)

The wood may be walnut.
I have been told it may have been part of a Victorian bedroom set.
My parents bought it to bed my nephew when he was little, but the bed is the size of a regular twin bed.
It has a custom-made mattress only 4" in thickness in order to not exceed the side boards in height.
A plywood plank was fitted into the frame to underlie the mattress.
The mattress has been kept scrupulously clean.
I photographed it upside down to show the homemade sheet tied around the bottom.
The entire bed measures 77.
75" in length and 38.
5" in width.
It is 47" in height at the head and 16" in height at the top of the side boards.
The photos showing the bed from the side are odd-looking due to foreshortening.
