* Employee discounts on items sold at our Counter *Lighting Specialist Details:* *Sales* * Responsible for meeting the lighting sales goals for the north-central and northeast regions * Assumes overall responsibility for coordinating lighting project sales activities with the outside sales reps as well as the construction group in Harrisburg.
* Maintain sales programs within an assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products relating to lighting products and solutions.
* Establish solid working relationships with purchasing, project estimators, project managers, and engineers at each client site.
Thoroughly understand each client’s operations, including its products, services, and markets.
* Meet established sales quotas by obtaining and renewing orders as well as converting competitively held accounts.
* Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activity including, but not limited to the daily entry of all sales calls into Solar/Job Management software; bids and quotations; customer contact and financial information; cancellation of outdated quotations; submission of business forecast reports to the Sales Manager, maintaining opportunity tracking system in CRM monthly, per sales management specifications.
* Find and communicate other product sales opportunities to assigned O/S personnel or I/S personnel to capture pull-through business within SYD's scope of supply.
* Submit expense reports and car mileage as assigned.
*Plan & Spec Project* * Receive project assignments from the construction coordinator.
* Complete the project qualification form.
* Formulate an approximate project budget based on product documentation and contractor-supplied quantities.
* Review drawings and notes (Hard Copy or on builder's exchange).
* Review any applicable drawings.
* Review Project Specifications.
Identify appropriate certifications or requirements (Buy American, Minority participation, etc.
).
Verify extra material requirements.
Substitution Provisions.
Decide the level of material standards set by project documentation.
* Assemble material takeoff / B.

* Obtain project pricing from selected vendors.
* Contact SYD outside salesperson and discuss project profit margin.
* Transmit final bid documents to applicable contractors as well as SYD O/S personnel.
(Eclipse and Excel).
*Design Build Project* * Receive project assignments from the construction coordinator, O/S, and or directly from customer.
* Review project design requirements.
* Determine material/vendors needed to meet design requirements.
* Assemble material takeoff / B.

*Competencies:* * Experience utilizing Eclipse software program preferred.
* Understanding of basic electrical principals and systems.
* Knowledge of lighting and electrical distribution equipment products.
* Experience with relevant software that affects or touches daily productivity:Microsoft Products Adobe Professional CAD or CAD-based design software Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.
